Lopevi, one of the nineteen works by V.M. Straka, was published in 1932.
The book is a memoir of well cultured, prospering societies becoming destroyed due to the effects of nature and man. Through the book, Straka points out that a culture’s identity is as fragile as a person’s identity.
In the footnotes, FXC writes, Lopevi was “vastly underrated” (P.348) and had “dismal sales figures.” In the margins, Jen mentions that she “had to order this one from a rare-books place online” (P.348) Also, Eric and Jen notice FXC giving true facts related to Lopevi in the footnote on P.416.
Lopevi is a tiny island in Vanuatu (Northeast of Australia in the Pacific Ocean). It consists a volcano similar to the one on fictitious Obsidian Island mentioned in Chapter 7 in Ship of Theseus. All together, through the Works By Straka has used locations from all around the world, which could support a large writing group theory.
