Vevoda’s acute business acumen is being discussed in detail. It is an extrapolation of what was being discussed in the earlier page. Vevoda makes sure that his demands are met, even if he has to find another seller so that he doesn’t stop making his money. “He conducts the orchestra of war, and the spotlight never falls on him”, Osfour signals how Vevoda plays his role in the battlefield as a catalyst. He also suggests the incoming of a big invasion but when S asks about who will be doing the invasion, Osfour says a name unknown to S. The next thing, Osfour says that the unknown person was nobody until Vevoda made him important. This is linked with a footnote by FXC which talks about Hermes Bouchard, who is comparable to Vevoda as he controlled the media the same way Vevoda controls the war scene.

In the annotations, Jen and Eric just discuss about the Daily Pronghorn. Eric describes the picture of Moddy and Ilsa Dirks in a very resentful manner about how they look like scholars. This might be because of Eric’s personal experience with Moody who didn’t give him scholarly credit. Eric and Jen just generally talk about awards Moody receives and the money he gets for paid visiting lectures.
