When an Agent is given a slip of paper for an S-dispatch, it is their job to not read the torn page, but to leave the paper in the pocket with the body or in their mouth after the mission is complete. When the Agent questions the purpose of this when the S. does the same, the handler responds by saying that it was originally their idea, stolen by the S. to taunt them. It also becomes clear that Agents do not ask questions, but do as their told or risk the consequences. If they act as they are supposed to, then they may receive a piece of paper inviting them to dinner with the Boss.

Jen compares the line, “Your job is simple, It is to do what you’re told,” to her parents, but then decides that they while were demanding, it was well-intentioned. Eric responds by saying,
they felt like they failed. and they didn’t want to feel that feeling again. no one does.

Jen discusses her lack of faith in herself and how she doesn’t know what road she’s on or where she’s going. Eric reassures her that she has time. Straka had to have faith in his writing and that FXC would protect him. Now Jen needs to focus on her life, but she has Eric there to support her.

Eric also found an S. in the tunnels left by Moody, saying to call him. This confirms the suspicion that Moody most likely knows what they are up to.
