As S. watches members of the crew go under the deck, Eric wonders which members of The S. were around in 1940. He lists them and Jen comments with “Valclav Straka was alive” but there is not definitive proof of his existence.

When he walks in on Maelstrom, S. notes a certain worry in his eyes. This is foreshadowing what is to come. Maelstrom is working to keep them out of Vevoda’s clutches but there is only so much he can do.
