S. hits the water and sinks to a depth that “no person should see.” He rises to the surface and looks around for Corbeau, but she is nowhere in sight. He looks up at the edge of the cliff and sees a group of browncoats firing on him. As he evades their bullets, he promises that he will not swim to safety without Corbeau. However, he soon realizes that she should have come up for air and he becomes gripped by worry.

S. seemed pretty intent on staying with Corbeau, which suggests that he’s a pretty lonely guy. He isn’t even motivated by love, he just wants to be in someone normal’s company. Unfortunately for S., he has very few memories to keep him company.

Jen is the only one to make a comment, mentioning that she likes the word “blackscabbards.”
