S. notices the S. symbol drawn on the wall next to them, but it is “partially obscured by drizzling water and shadow,” emphasizing the ambiguity of the symbol.

F.X.C makes a sassy comment about Corbeau, who’s character parallels Durand, revealing her jealousy.
