Waterdrops in the Animal Flower Cave, Barbados (6774631327)

S. wonders if the Detectives in brown dusters will find them in the cave. The group decides to split watch shifts, including Stenfalk who shows determination to contribute.

S. is awoken in the middle of the night with the realization that he left Stenfalk’s valise outside the cave in plain sight. Before he can do anything, the dripping of cave water lulls him back to sleep. While he does feel guilty, he is once again incompetent to act. Eric points out S.’s failure and connects the line “Oh, the mercy of water!” to the theme  “begins/ends at the water.”

When he is awoken again, Corbeau is panicked and confused as to why and where Stenfalk went. S. immediately admits to his guilt.

Jen writes about her first major event of paranoia, which Eric confirms that he experiences it as well.

Last night I dreamed that someone was in my apt. & going through all my Straka notes.

In the next round of notes, Eric is in Brazil and Jen continues to write to herself. She worries about her lack of communication with him and begins to write back to herself. She also comments that she finished her paper on Death by Water by T.S. Eliot. This poem is a real poem and connects to the theme of what begins and what ends at the water.
