In the chart-room is the monkey, now old, toothless, and pitiful. It makes a feeble, high-pitched noise when it sees S. Contemplation

S. says that it is as if the monkey were following him. Sola suggests that S. may be following the monkey.

Sola picks up a piece of paper from the table. It is a map, and it looks as if it has been drawn in a hurry.

Jen writes that she called Jacob, her ex-boyfriend, and told him not to mess with her life. Jacob responded that he was worried about Jen. Jen told him that she doesn’t care about his intentions. What matters is what her parents are going to do.

Eric reminds Jen that she is an adult, and that her parents have limited power.

Jen responds that she doesn’t think that her parents know that.
