Stenfalk mentions The Archer’s Tale — one of many cryptically recurring names in the novel. Stenfalk says The Archer’s Tale tells the story of K— . S. tells the group that he saw Sola reading that book, and they call it “Hogwash.” Eric points out that one of Desjardin’s books went missing, and Jen conlcudes that it must have been a copy of The Archer’s Tale.

In a later time period, Jen says he got the book “from Signe.” Eric says we can’t prove it but that has to be it. These dialogues are very cryptic and make the backstories more complicated. It’s not very clear how this relates to Straka.
