200.a Postcard Pictorial Brazil

This postcard, part of a series of cards that Eric sends during his trip in Brazil, describes his quest to find the Black-Capped Nightingale. Eric is currently in Marau and exclaims to his fellow birders, “I FOUND HER. She is impossibly old, though she often forgets notes, she sings beautifully.” Eric states, “Have to run… Coming home on the 23rd.” which may actually mean Eric is on the run now and must find a way to return to the U.S. safely.

The postcard is stamped 21.4.12, which according to Wikipedia, means that it was April 21st, 2012 when Eric sent his postcard. The postcards seem to be sent every few days which means Eric must have been on the hunt in Brazil for less than a few weeks.

According to WhoIsStraka, Eric is really searching for FXC but must write in code so no one except his readers will know what his true intentions are. “Fellow birders” is most likely a code for “Dear Jen.”
