Project for spring term – Armstrong circulation students

Now that the spring term is under way and things are settled it’s time to start working on some projects.   The  first project is shelve reading the bound periodicals section downstairs.   Starting with tonight’s after 5 pm shifts I would like everyone especially weeknight and weekend shifts to spend 20 minutes per shift shelve reading in the bound periodicals.    Our goal here is get all the periodicals in the correct order and find any that have been miss-shelved.   There’s a sheet for tracking where each student starts and finishes in the procedures book, page one.

Evaluation forms – J-term 2010

Hi all,  Just as we did last fall Armstrong will once again be a collection point for course response forms starting 1/21 and ending at 5 pm on Friday January 29.    Students filling out the forms have been instructed that they can turn the forms in at Armstrong Library.    When you receive a form it will be in an envelope.   You are to immediately deposit the envelope (form) in the collection box located on the floor  near the calculator drawer.    Please do not hesitate to ask Carrie, Nancy or Todd if you have any questions.

203K printer

Our 203K printer has been acting a little strange this week.    Mostly it will freeze up and not print even print jobs that have been sent directly to it.     Please have students print to 202 when the printer freezes.   Shutting it off and back on often clears the problem.   If it does not want print after a reboot then shut it down and direct print jobs to 202 and 161.  We are working to correct this problem and I’ll update you when I know more.
