We now have the ability to extend the pickup time on an individual hold. So if a patron wants us to hold an item longer than 7 days, just go to their holds tab, select the title, and click “modify hold”. The last line is the date the hold is set to expire. Just change it to a later date.

New look for the blog
The old theme for the blog stopped working (I am still working to track down and brutally punish the responsible parties) so that is why things look different. I think I have replicated everything we had in the old one.

Equipment Drop-Off Location for Repairs
The new location for dropping off equipment needing repairs can be left on the counter behind the Circ. Deks, next to Janine McDonald’s desk. Janine will be cataloging and monitoring all equipment, so this area will serve as the equipment center.

Clear notices
Circ staff – please remember to clear notices after you print them. Otherwise we run duplicates and spend time searching for things that have already been pulled. Thanks!
UPDATE! If you check in a book with a NExpress request on it, DO NOT print any kind of notice. You are given an option to “cancel” and please take that option. If you print a notice, the request (for some reason) gets re-queued in the paging slips notices and we end up searching it again. The best practice would be not to check in books with NExpress paging slips.
