Armstrong Printer issues

As we settle into our second week of the new semester printer issues are starting to pop up.     The most common issue is the loading of the paper tray for our 203 K printer.      We are finding that the right side of the tray does not work, and if you put any paper on the right side you will have problems.     Please load the left side only.      Second issue has been with A4 print jobs ( you’ll see a message either asking to load the MP tray or to select a different size paper).     Our printers sort of freeze up when patrons send these print jobs.    To  get around this on 161 and 202,  just hit the green button and these printers will print the job.     The Kyocera (203K) on the other hand is a little more involved.     When you see the message to load the MP tray, you’ll have to do just that.     The MP tray is located on the right side of the printer near the top.   open the tray and place paper inside, then press the green button and the printer will print the queued job.   I’ve noticed sometimes you have to stand there and hit the button again if more than oneA4 job was sent.     This leads us to the first problem we’ve encountered with print release.     When  an A4 job is released it wont print until it is manually overridden on the printer.    Yesterday when I overrode an A4 several print jobs followed and were never picked up.   Apparently these all were released and the patrons left when the printer wouldn’t print.     So the point here is to be prompt in helping patrons with A4 printing issues so that other released print jobs do not pile up.    Any questions on these issues just let me know.
