Highlights: (Progress towards Goals, accomplishments)
• Preparing library for fall term (signs, supplies, etc.).
• Bindery journal preparation.
• Working on fall schedule changes, as students are starting to e-mail with class changes.
• Also concentrating on filling student gaps for the first week, until new hires can fill in.
• Todd Attended “Introduction to, Supervising Student Employees”
• Ill’s are picking up.
• Lots of professors, new and old, with reserve questions, screenings questions, carrel questions, questions questions.
• Lots of equipment bookings, many for freshman orientation next week
• Lots of reserve stuff getting done
• Reshelving of summer books, especially BL books back from the School of English and Writers’ Conference
• Packed up BLWC books, closed down Davison on Sunday
• Steady flow of library patrons with questions, reserves, equipment bookings
• Music very quiet
• Elin and Maura out on vacation
• Return of the Karin!
Challenges:
• Ariel still down at Armstrong
• Students changing schedules, and or not committing to fall schedule, until classes are set
• Some confusion about library hours re: scheduling events/rooms in the Main library — rooms scheduled before we open and after we close this week
