Preparing library for fall term (signs, supplies, etc.).
Bindery journal preparation.
Working on fall schedule changes, as students are starting to e-mail with class changes.
Also concentrating on filling student gaps for the first week, until new hires can fill in.
Todd Attended “Introduction to, Supervising Student Employees”
Ill’s are picking up.
Lots of professors, new and old, with reserve questions, screenings questions, carrel questions, questions questions.
Lots of equipment bookings, many for freshman orientation next week
Lots of reserve stuff getting done
Reshelving of summer books, especially BL books back from the School of English and Writers’ Conference
Packed up BLWC books, closed down Davison on Sunday
Steady flow of library patrons with questions, reserves, equipment bookings
Music very quiet
Elin and Maura out on vacation
Return of the Karin!
Challenges:
Ariel still down at Armstrong
Students changing schedules, and or not committing to fall schedule, until classes are set
Some confusion about library hours re: scheduling events/rooms in the Main library — rooms scheduled before we open and after we close this week
