Circulation Services – Circ, Reserves, and Stacks

Statistics:
• Books scanned in yesterday’s carrel and locker sweep: 187
• Number of those that were listed as available: 83
• Gate count, Davis, September: 97,138
• Items on reserve: 1,300+
• Available carrels: 0
Highlights: (Progress towards Goals, accomplishments)
Armstrong:
• A lot of media needs
• ILL and bindery software not working – waiting on new computer
• Hired and training one new student
• Very busy library – all seats filled
• Student staff meeting/training
Davis Family:
• Students survived three hours alone Friday night (planned staffing gap)
• Subs doing a great job covering at night for Janine
• Still training new students
• Schedule is looking pretty final now
• Prepping for WHD public announcement
• Swept all lockers and carrels for non-checked out books
• Banner change-request for adding junior Febs to the thesis writers group in Millennium. Will go into effect next week.
Stacks:
• Working on reshelving – a lot coming in
• Todd will start work a few hours a week in Special Collections starting next week
Reserves:
• Starting to compile annual BL report
• Online search for copyright guide

Challenges:
• Mishelved media reserves
• Reserve hold sent back to the stacks
• Covering gaps with staff on vacation and sick, and down a sub
• Moveable stacks in the center downstairs with broken circuit board – have to open manually while waiting for a part to arrive
