Circulation Services – Circ, Reserves, and Stacks

Statistics:
• Billed items in January – 30 – the lowest in recorded history
• Number of recalled items for reserve still checked out: 30
Highlights: (Progress towards Goals, accomplishments)
Armstrong:
• Attended AED training
• Weeding conversations
Davis Family:
• Writing self-evaluations
• AED training
• Penalty points seem to be doing a good job of negating equipment billing issues and keeping reserves in the building
• Some training reminders for students
• Carrels added and distributed with minimal drama – a few left
• Reserve DVDs getting cleaned
• Typical start to the semester
• Busy week last week, on all fronts
• Less student swapping than usual
• Very busy the Friday and Saturday of Carnival week
• Big thanks to both Kim’s for help with a screening issue Friday evening
• Oberlin stats
Stacks:
• Working on stacks students schedule
• First week was very busy with returns, carrel wait list
• 15 carrels added to deal with increased demand
Reserves:
• Some reserves
• Also, reserves
• Great help from student and subs – big thank you!
• Oh, and reserves.

CT Team: Discussion of the New Media Consortium Horizon Report

Challenges:
• The front door continues to be an aggravation
• A few penalty points issues – people waking up to the fact that they actual mean something
