Circulation Services – Circ, Reserves, and Stacks

Statistics: percentage of material cleaned out of Dan’s Music Library desk that had been there for longer than 10 years: 78%
Total circs for March: 22300
Highlights: (Progress towards Goals, accomplishments)
Armstrong:
• Tried out Lynda.com Windows 7 training
• Summer student schedule
• Surveyed student preference on Google Calendar vs. Outlook – Google won
Music:
• Packed up a bunch of stuff for the move
• Uncovered an ancient treasure map to the lost works of mediocre 18th century composer Ignaz Fränzl (which was promptly recycled)
• Reminded students they have to actually do work sometimes
Davis Family:
• Monthly search list, inventory
• Evenings busy 7-10 pm
• Coverage for April vacations is all in place
• Working on summer student schedules, hires
• Positive comments on new signage at the front desk
Stacks:
• Reference cleaning, shifting and re-labeling stack almost complete
• Catching up on normal reshelving neglected due to the former point
Reserves:
• Working on BLVT and BLNM reserve lists, getting items ordered
CT team: speculation, semantics, waiting for the AD’s to discuss recommendation
Space Team: did not meet

Challenges:
• BLNM faculty needed an old coursepack, which we did not have. Worked with bookstore to resolve
• BBC sound effects online doesn’t work with some browsers – working with Terry to resolve
