Circulation Services – Circ, Reserves, and Stacks

Statistics: Number of expired patrons deleted from the system: 7039
Days till graduation: 55
Highlights: (Progress towards Goals, accomplishments)
Armstrong:
• Created instruction sheet for the scanner
• Google calendar lessons on Lyndia
• Evaluation meetings
• Lots of ILL
Music:
• Meeting to discuss who is packing what for the move
Davis Family:
• All LIS meeting
• Finishing training of new students
• VHS’s moved out from behind circ
• Relabeling the hold area
• Spring break schedule in Outlook
• Planning for summer hiring
• All evaluation meetings complete!
• VGA adapters sorted and categorized
• Water incursion has revealed subterranean lake below the library – guided boat tours will begin April 1st
• Heavy use of Mac power cords and headphones
• Shelf for media screenings moved from back to the front for easier access
• The Echo pass is back (whew!)
Stacks:
• Assisting with collection shift, re-labeling shelves
Reserves:
• Everything recalled for spring has been returned
• BL reserve lists starting to come in
CT team: Preparing final LMS recommendation!
Space Team: Finalized plan for lower level of the library; planning office moves

Challenges:
• Plotter issues at Armstrong
• 2 Armstrong lab computers’ hard drives died
• Patrons receiving notices about ILL/Nexpress books available at Armstrong before they actually get there
• Water incursion created a myriad of issues
• Reports of damaged reserve media
• Backpack stolen from the lobby
• No one thought about the possibility of VHS being used at the self-check machine now that they are out in the stacks. Sign has been posted reminding patrons not to use VHS at the self-check.
• A lot of requests in the past week to make exceptions to equipment loan policy (i.e. students wanting to take out fac/staff laptops for two weeks)
