Circulation Services – Circ, Reserves, and Stacks

Statistics: Number of new computers added to the Armstrong public area: 5
Number of days the Echo pass has been expired: 30
Number of people who have tried to borrow it in that time: 0
Highlights: (Progress towards Goals, accomplishments)
Armstrong:
• Self evaluations complete
• Attended OHIC gardening workshop
• A few spring reserves
• Lots of student subbing and swapping of shifts
Music:
• Measured ref, bound periodicals, current periodicals
Davis Family:
• Lots of students sick
• New circ students are doing great
• Starting to think about summer student staffing
• Many enjoyed Carol’s Friday dance on the bench in the lobby
• One staff registered for the IUG conference in San Francisco next month
• Equipment inventory is complete!
• Interviewed senior tech specialist candidate

Stacks:
• Measured media collection for The Move
• J-term returns completely reshelved
Reserves:
• Spring reserves continue apace
• Third week of copyright course – still awake
• Tinkering with the new “put on reserve” form in MIDCAT, possible launching point for an SLA
CT team: marketing course hub, preliminary analysis of LMS survey data
Space Team: very close to finalizing collection shift recommendations

Challenges:
• Mysterious buzzing at Armstrong Tuesday evening (suspect a large colony of killer bees)
• Blocked a student from borrowing equipment after his third offense (an LCD projector 8 days overdue)
