Circulation Services – Circ, Reserves, and Stacks

Statistics: number of emails in the libcirc mailbox after the break: 123
Number of bins delivered to Armstrong after the break: 9
Highlights: (Progress towards Goals, accomplishments)
Armstrong:
• Working on winter and some spring reserves
• ILL steady, more one-on-one training with students for ILL
• Student schedule filling up, only a few gaps
• Two new students hired
Music:
• A few gaps in the schedule still
• Meeting today to discuss some more aspects of the move
Davis Family:
• Evenings busy, especially 6-10 pm
• Sunday was quiet, but also no student workers
• Equipment inventory nearly complete
• New books shelves were re-stocked last night
• Much lower activity for film screenings
• Lots of calls about hours
• Extra cleaning around the circ desk before the break
• As always, browsing DVD activity heavy before break
• Some one-on-one training with students before the break
• Signing up for Spring schedules
• Planning student training session next week
Stacks:
• Carrels going out (from the desk – no online booking for j-term)
• Lots of returns after the break
Reserves:
• Fall reserves cleared
• Keeping up with Winter reserves
• Found and fixed glitch in “archiving” procedure for past semesters of reserve materials
• Some Spring reserves coming in
CT team: Pilots of LMS up and running or will be soon, thinking about advertising for the Course Hub when it goes live in February
Space Team: have not met yet this semester

Challenges:
• Staff computer with virus at Armstrong (fixed)
• Printing issues from circ computers Sun-Tuesday (fixed)
• Many staff hours lost to The Sounds of Star Wars, which is going on reserve for Spring.
• No guest password generated Sunday
