Circulation Services – Circ, Reserves, and Stacks

Carrels booked in the first hour: 82
Tears of frustration shed at the circ desk due to carrel keys: 0

Reserve emails processed: 1200

Highlights: (Progress towards Goals, accomplishments)
Armstrong:
• Created student contact sheet
• Trained a couple of students in ILL
• New students hired – schedule full
• Friday – all student meeting – good attendance – went over policies, expectation, some training
Music:
• Schedule full, no new hires
• New ILL and Nexpress workflow working nicely
Davis Family:
• Lots of general questions at Circ
• Film screenings going well
• New students, hiring and training, PAF’s
• Subs for evening shifts – thanks Stave and Maura!
• Carrel keys
• New NExpress book band is super-slick
Stacks:
• Trying to gauge how much student shelving time will be needed in a given week
• Gov Docs has requested that we shelve all of the gov docs on the reshelving cart
• Answered the phones Carrel Monday morning starting at 7 non-stop
• Updated library hours in Millennium
Reserves:
• Reserves!
CT team: presented to the AD’s – awaiting go or no-go on Course Hub
Space Team: preparing for presentation to the AD’s

Challenges:
• reserves that needed to go on the holdshelf for Office Reserve were sent back to the stacks, or to the branches
• Reserves getting misshelved
• ILL and Nexpress going to Amrstrong are getting shelved on the Davis hold shelf
• Manual block issues
• Confusion and technical difficulties over online carrel booking (full report to follow)
• Compact shelving acting up at both Music and Davis. Systematics has been contacted
• Nancy out – staff flexing to cover
