Workgroups(s); Circulation Services – Circulation, Reserves and Stacks

Highlights:
• General activity levels – alumni weekend: steady Saturday, fairly quiet Sunday
• Staff – 3 new staff members in training; others stretched thin to cover desks; staff on vacations; eating bon-bons
• Library hours – full summer hours to resume on Friday
• Student staff – excellent work pulling items for reserve, making sure things are running smoothly
• Armstrong
o Big clean out at Armstrong – a lot of recycling was removed from room 208 in preparation for new staff
o All ILL related material was moved into room 208, consolidating everything used for ILLs into one room
o Low activity
• Davis Family Library
• Music
o Drying out from the Great Flood of 2010
o Low activity
• BL – desk schedule complete; set-up planned
• LS – testing requesting at Mills, running paging slips for retrieval, making sure borrower database is up to date
• Stacks – reshelving under control
• Reserves
o BL and LS processing – lots of lists
o Met with Joy re. LS workflow and communications with faculty
o Met with Jeff and Terry re. copyright ERES issue
• Space Team – first meeting: deciding on platform and first steps
• Curricular Technology Team – discussed results of CT site usability study
• Web Team – no activity
Challenges
• New keyboard at supervisor circ station doesn’t swipe IDs correctly
• Front doors of Davis not unlocking properly
• Boxes for BL need to be ready to go two days sooner than expected (in order to coordinate with bookstore delivery)
• Last minute BL reserve lists coming in
• Courtesy printing for alumns over the weekend
