Highlights:
• General activity levels – exams; end of term peak activity; Davis Family Library dedication excitement & power outage fun
• Flood of book returns has begun
• 24/7 and exam hours – mostly smooth transition to 24/7 hours, expected heavy student use during 24/7 evenings
• Staff re-locations/office moves/planning
• Yellow cables – low activity
• Student staffing and schedules – Students stressed out, sick, needing subs; great support for 24/7 at Main
• Circ staffing – stretched thin; end of term activity peaking
• Hiring committee – interviews
• Documentation – wiki updates
• Armstrong – ILL’s quiet this week; planning for shelf-reading Armstrong stacks – several areas are out of order.
• Music – The Music Library printer is finally, officially fixed.
• Stacks – the BIG wave of returns has arrived; all hands on deck; plans to schedule extra help
• Reserves – End of term reserves: Spring reserves STILL being processed, especially personal copies; slow but steady process re: receiving BLSE reserve lists; new procedures and workflow to lessen the workload both end of term and start of term; met to determine Mill capabilities; connected with other staff processing reserves re: these changes — all on board; cleaning out files in prep for office moves; discovered an assortment of intriguingly old Reserves files (old ECON exams from the early ’90s, anyone?)
• Loaner equipment – expected heavy equipment use; added equipment bookings to evening routines; handful of requests from students to borrow equipment over the summer
• Space Team: 2-day team training – space team has launched
• Curricular Technology Team – continued evaluation of current digital projects
• Digital Archives Team – no update
• Web Team – continued usability; recommendations; next steps

Challenges
• Incomplete and inconsistent recording of non-circ activity/stats
• Power outage 5/6
• Continued difficulty with building and atrium lights turning off at 1am during 24/7
• Peak in long-term over the summer request for loaner equipment
• Reduced staffing on Fridays
• Really BUSY with returns!
• Continued front door issues
• Figuring out whether a local educator qualifies for courtesy privileges
• Media services no-show for Saturday afternoon event; difficult to locate contact/on-call info
• Gaps in student worker exam and 24/7 schedule
• Increase in items with lost, missing etc, status
• Zoho stats – are they accurate?
• Staff/sub illness
