Highlights:
• Web, web, web and more web stuff! Drupal and wiki
• Reduced hours for Feb break; busy with projects – WT wrap-up; Spring term prep
• Feb graduation; end of term; Winter theses due
• Feb student orientation
• Student staff – Feb grads – goody bags; Snippy as tool for Outlook scheduling; Armstrong – schedule issues were a problem right up to the end of last week; aside from subbing requests all else went fine; schedule looks good for next week (spring term), for the moment; Main crew doing an awesome job helping with Stacks and Reserves
• Staff – re-adjusting staff schedules for Spring term coverage; longer/all day shifts at Main may improve workflow
• Monthly stats reports etc gathering
• Developing Circ goals – eliminated 1 – fine-tuning 3
• Film screening and bookings workflow/procedures; documentation for staff and users
• Reserves – crazy busy preparing for 1st week of Spring semester. Lots of reserve help needed – thanks to all for jumping in! Cleared WT reserves; great student employee support
• Circ mailbox – renewals for students off-campus for Feb break
• Carrel key reservation testing
• Weekend – on-call coverage on Sunday; supporting Reserves; pulled books and videos for Reserves; re-shelved new Res; lots of ILL/NExpress and regular returns day after term ended
• Armstrong – ILL’s, and NExpress peak; peak in returns; lots of re-shelving
• Busy, busy. The foot traffic is pretty light, but there are lots of reserves to process at Main and Arms
• Music – Reserves processing
• Loaner equipment – heavy equipment returns, equipment documentation on LIS wiki, testing bookings; connecting with Media Services on equipment replacement; connecting with Helpdesk on broken equipment, improving workflow for check-in of equipment with multiple parts
• Carrels and Lockers – planning for spring semester Carrel Day; reviewing documentation; Arms locker keys bar-coded for check-out
• Stacks – Rich on vacation; Circ coordinating re-shelving end of winter term returns; film-fiche units repair ; building sweeps
• DAT: final draft of Digital Collections web page for new site, working on specifics of Digital Center creation
• Curricular Tech Team – web stuff
• Web Team – – ready for launch!
• Library hours – setting winter carnival hours; guidelines
• Wiki – attended wiki workshop; getting closer to goal of transferring Circ to LIS wiki by 2/8
• Scheduling PFDP’s; web team review/surveys
Challenges
• Overdue Arms LCD returned to Main – borrower off-campus for Feb break
• Reduced hours – staff needing to work on website in Main Library after 5 pm
• Upcoming web launch – lots to do in addition to web work
• Wifi issues – how to supply Ethernet cables?
• Busy at Res and Stacks – reduced staff
• No Mill Circ Sunday am – lots of end of term reports
