Highlights:
• 2-day break much appreciated!

• Increase in requests for help/assistance at Main and Arms libraries, especially equipment, ILL, and Plotter use at Armstrong
• Film screening activity busy but smooth
• Arms: VERY quiet Wed prior to Thanksgiving; poster session = lots of plotter printing (w/a few problems); scanning, scanning, scanning of ILL’s, NExpress, and Rapid
• Music: VERY quiet Wed prior to Thanksgiving
• Monthly stats, reports
• Playing with self-booking possibilities
• Mill Circ: Problem with erratic log-in behavior solved (hurray!) by the unintended consequences of Frostman Labs –freeze/thaw to install a shortcut to log-in
• Loaner equipment: Equipment in heavy use; increase in bookings, shifting to equipment check-ins by supervisors for kits with multiple parts to reduce error rate for missing/lost parts
• Reserves: Still continuing to add Reserves to Fall 09; W10 Reserve requests slowly coming in; updates to the Reserves page on Dokutek
• NExpress: Troubleshooting too long lists; system glitches
Challenges
• Wed prior to Thanksgiving break – did not need to be open at branches
• 24/7 hours at Main – doors and lights functionality problematic first few days of 24/7; library crowded and some students testy and demanding, drum circle outside on Sunday evening prompted complaints
• Booking for laptops and multiple equipment requests that were needed sooner than requested
• ILL processing at Arms stretching Circ coverage thin
• Peak in ILL/NExpress processing at all branches
• Equipment in heavy use and overdue; equipment maintenance; adapters with frayed cords
• Microfiche support/instructions for students using older technology
