Head count total: 2994 (down from 5134 Dec 08 and 5211 May 08)
Gate count total: 3281 (down from 4812 Dec 08 and 5255 May 08)

ILL at Armstrong: 138 total requests in May (ILL’S excluding Rapid and Nexpress) of those we filled 131 or 95%

Highlights:
• All libraries closed on the weekend
• Armstrong: All quiet on the western front; completing intersession projects – shelf-reading; cleaning up reference and Current periodicals, mailboxes, 1 staff member on vacation
• Main: Very slow user activity at Circ Desk – lots of project work accomplished; finished re shelving; searching lists for April and May; cleared off searching clipboard
• Carrel & lockers: clearing finished
• Stacks: Fantastic work on the re-shelving effort, as of Friday afternoon, backlog is gone! Presented on film/fiche units at HD training
• Music: All quiet on the southern front…working on intersession and monthly projects, reports, stats; ILL requests still steady
• LS: Developed workflow draft for Mills items
• Created monthly reports, stats; 24/7 stats, searching lists
• Borrower data base: Cleaned up duplicates in patron load
• BLSE: In the beginning phase of Davison Circ Desk scheduling; updating the Davison Library manual
• Reserves: Circ and ILL/Reserve student staff picking up books for BL and LS; trained ILL/Reserve students to add items to reserve courses, resulting in speedy processing of items
• Equipment: HD is in the process of reimaging the loaner Dell laptops; continuing to follow up with overdue equipment — much was returned last week
• Student Employees: continued training with new summer student staff; planning for training mid-June; planning ice cream social for current summer students; Main – keeping 3-4 student busy with projects 6-7 hrs a day; posted summer student schedule on line
• Staffing: summer vacations have begun; some staff working shorter days due to reduced library hours – a welcome reprieve from a busy spring semester and the anticipation of a busy summer ahead
• Sent out bills for lost/missing/long overdue materials
• Developing Circ training modules on wiki
• Web requesting changes/enhancements
• Reviewing NExpress workflow – DVD requests, returns, upcoming ILL absence
• Planning and preparing for the LIS art and Crafts exhibit June 8 – it is going to be wonderful!
• Starting the BPA process
• Guest printing roll out meeting
Challenges
• BLSE: Davison Desk schedule pending staffing decisions
• Dell loaner/loaner log-in – not able to release print job
