I need your help!
In the past 2 weeks there have been 116 gate alarms.
5 have been recorded on the Alarm Log.
We are currently experiencing a unusually high number of false and incoming alarms.
Please respond to and document all outgoing alarm incidents.
No need to stop people for incoming alarms.
Any ideas for an easier way to track alarms is most welcome! Let me know if you have any suggestions.
A service call is very expensive, and we need to document alarm incidents to better analyze the problem.
Many thanks!
Elin

Could you explain why we need to document alarms?
We need to document alarms to:
Justify an expensive service call
Isolate the specific problem/type of alarm for the technician
Look for patterns to help diagnose the problem
Here are the categories:
Upon entering
Failure to desensitize
Undetermined
Real alarm
It’s a standard log sheet from the 3M manual – would welcome your ideas for a better way to document alarm activity.
