Meeting notes rotation? We will rotate alpha by first name – Elin will write notes this week since Dan graciously wrote meeting notes for the Monday training meeting. Next up for writing meeting notes will depend on who shows up at which meeting – but rest assured – everyone will get a chance!

Around the table updates:
Elin: web 2.0 session on 10/21 was lots of fun; we learned about Cha Cha, Jott; Remember the Milk; GoodReads, Facebook Birthdays; GrandCentral; and had a prize drawing. Next session will be 11/6.
Todd and Nancy: space improvements at Armstrong; activity continues busy!
Joanne: just back from a too short trip to sunny and warm California
Maura: Student training successful; (Elin and Steve will be creating and sending out a survey to all student groups); off to Barcelona next week, returning 11/10; attending VWHE conference 10/23-4
Steve: steady activity at Main; attending ALA Techsource gaming conference next week
Kellam: crazy busy with equipment; applying patches and updates; cleaning desktops, bookings and requests, balancing high demand for PC FW drives with inventory; yellow cables have reapperared – a BIG thanks to Amy!
A nice surprise – Gospel came to visit last weekend!

Mon evening – brief discussions about:
Need for better user documentation regarding billing and replacement procedure/process.
Borrowers with messages restriciting equipment loan privileges – will not be seen by staff if booking equipment by item; will only be seen if booking through borrower

Goals – up on wiki – please review and think about how workgroup goals can fit into individual goals

Dan presented a short demo using MS Recorder – many potential uses for training and tutorials!

SWOT – we brainstormed additional ideas for the Circ SWOT
Idaho State has developed a very nice SWOT resource page at http://www.isu.edu/acadaff/swot/index.shtml
Notes on SWOT sent in separate email

FYI

Maura will be out until Monday 11/10.
Steve will be out from 10/30 – 11/6.
If you are covering at Main, please be sure to consult the check-list to ensure that all tasks are covered in their absence.

Student blog pages – please verify that ALL students have accessed the blog and posted a comment on the first welcome post to verify that they know how to access the blog and post a comment. Very few comments so far…check with them on their next shift!

The survey about the training meeting on 10/20 has gone out – please encourage ALL students to take a few minutes on their next shift to complete the survey. It is a very short survey – should only take a few minutes!

There is now a clipboard for shelf reading media and reserves at Main. Please delegate this consistently on all shifts

Lost and Found at Main – exploring 1 place for all types of items

Should we limit DVD Browsing to 3? This was a suggestion from the student training meeting

Help check student schedules for gaps – many eyes help catch the gaps!
