Meeting Notes
Oct 8 2008
Lib 145 3 – 4 pm
Present: Michael Warner, Dan, Maura, Joanne, Todd, Nancy
Notes: Elin
• Michael Warner – CM updates
o Catalog office LC-classing gift of Japanese items and will eventually re-class whole Japanese collection
o Periodicals weeding project – journals available in Jstor; A-Z list will be out of date
• Hold Slips: Dan has developed cool new custom hold slips; the borrower/requestor name is BIG and BOLD on top of the slip; time/date of the hold is listed for easy reference along with item info; note field also displays – very handy for Reserves! Thanks, Dan!! Turned on (log-in specific) for all locations – let Dan know if you want to make any adjustments. Will test with receipt printer at Main.
• Talked a little bit about how we can save paper – ILL re-uses paper when only 1 side used – has lots to share with Circ. Arm re-uses also. Minimal problems with printer jams. Need to be careful to not re-use paper with item/borrower details.
