Highlights: (Progress towards Goals, accomplishments)
• Main – lots of returns, training new Circ student
• Last week of LS – Main Library active all day/evening
• Scheduling for BLWC/intersession
• Stacks – Overflow re-shelving in use; re-shelving flood of returns
• Equipment – Equipment demand is slowing down as we near the end of LS; preparing for end-of-term equipment cleaning and inventory and maintenance
• Armstrong – Spine label project; ILL has picked up after a slow few weeks; Ariel remains down; student workers nearing the end of shelf reading the entire bound periodical section; Nancy on vacation
• Music – Students are done with dusting/shelving projects for the summer in record time
• End of term student worker events – Music students lunch; all Circ/Res/ILL potluck (HD students also joined us); pizza with Dean for all LIS student workers
• BLWC set-up and BLSE break-down went smoothly despite washed out roads; 80 bins/boxes back to Main for unpacking, processing and re-shelving; 10 bins to Davison for BLWC reserve readings
• 6-month review meetings underway
• Fall student scheduling
• Collaborating with CSO for career collection in Main Browsing
• Eco bags ordered
• Circ meeting with HR generalist to review time management guidelines; discussion; edits made directly on wiki at the meeting
• Committee – Hiring interviews
Challenges:
• Self- check – Systems working with Innovative and Libramation to resolve
• Ariel still down – requiring workaround for ILL processing at Arm; Systems working to resolve
• Student staffing issues – gaps in schedule due to film screening/events activity
• Main – color printer problems at opening – no HD support available printer had not been posted out of order even though “had been down for a couple of days”
• 3M check-in station getting tired…
• Problems with Arm front desk computers – need to replace?
• Equipment returns without all parts
• Borrower data base load errors
