Circulation Services – Circ, Reserves, and Stacks
Statistics: Missing, billed, or in transit items for October: 169 (lowest since June)
Pounds of chocolate ingested by circ staff last week (including students): 23.7
Highlights: (Progress towards Goals, accomplishments)
Armstrong:
• Quite a bit of activity
• Gov docs project continuing
• Shawn and Carrie out much of this week and last week
• Discussions on weeding bound periodicals
Music:
• Met with Space Team to discuss move
• Business as usual
Davis Family:
• Training some Armstrong students to cover at Davis
• Sign-ups for Thanksgiving and exams, 24/7
• Ed Sullivan attended our monthly meeting to talk first aid
• Missing student laptop found by Facilities
• Pop-up note added to ILL items to remind students to change due date to match band
• Met with Carrie to discuss Reference issues – Stats week next week!
• Staff at “Many Hats of Access Services” conference in Boston
• Halloween decorating
• Added two more Mac chargers to the inventory
Stacks:
• Definitely picking up
Reserves:
• Lower activity
• A few WT requests
• Looking in to possibility of merging Midd and MIIS Eres
CT team: Met with Susan Burch for Blackboard presentation
Space Team: Contacted Oberlin group re: Music Library – Met with stakeholders within LIS
Challenges:
• Two articles needed last minute for ERes, had to ILL them
• Misshelved reserve items – some going back to regular stacks
• Parent calling to discuss billed items on student’s college bill
