Highlights:
• User activity levels – steady user activity in the evenings; Main microprint activity for class assignment; referrals to other departments, quick ref stuff, ref and liaison referrals
• Student staffing and schedules – summer interviews; reviewing applications starting interviews for summer openings at Armstrong
• Circ staffing – schedule flexing and stretching to cover planned vacations and unplanned time off
• Staff transitions – planning for schedule and workload distribution for future hiring
• Reserves – meeting with BL office staff; refining order process for BLNM/SE; updating summer Res procedures; reviewing and cleaning up BL and Res shared folders; spring reserves still trickling in; BLSE lists starting to come in — about a dozen received so far, many more to go; sending purchase requests to Lib Acq; connected with BLNM library contact at St. John’s re: reserves; met with ILL re: BLNM workflow; ILL is beginning to pull items for BLNM; connected with LS operation director re: reserves; last reserve recall hold-out for S10 returned; no outstanding reserve recalls – hurray

Challenges
• Laptop loaners – inconsistent practices mac/pc; images are not administrators for software installation
• Eliminating firewire drives; liability – not reliable for personal date storage
• LS and BL handbooks – Borrowing and Reserves policies/user documentation – how best to reach out to the summer user groups
• Keys – how to minimize circ of keys used by other depts.?
• Inconsistent practice/procedure for checking out keys to specific user/group
• Lots of student sub requests
• Steady State breaks Outlook for daily password at Main
• Equipment – large laptop booking on short notice; 1 remaining Kindle in repair
• Mishelved media & reserves, improper check-ins causing havoc
• Several incidents of theft of library materials while off-campus
• 2 dead Circ keyboards
