The libraries are eliminating the use of plastic bags and introducing eco-friendly, reusable bags.
Borrowers can borrow a bag at the time of check-out and return it for reuse when returning materials.
You may remember that last spring, LIS held a contest to solicit design ideas. The winning design was selected in a blind judging by LIS staff.
Nikhil Ramburn was selected as our winner. He received a book bag and a $100 gift certificate to the College Bookstore.
Bags were funded by an Environmental Council Grant in partnership with LIS.
Alyson Bourne ‘08 and Emily Gustavson ‘08 assisted Elin with the grant proposal.
