Circulation Services – Circ, Reserves, and Stacks

Statistics:
• Total circulation for FY13: 178,660 (-7%)
• Total circulation for FY12: 192,177
• DVD circs, FY13: 18,253 (+7%)
• DVD circs, FY12: 16,908
Highlights: (Progress towards Goals, accomplishments)
Armstrong:
• Lots of printer questions
• All laptops borrowed
• Helping people set up passwords
• Helped with media issues
• Searched monthly circ list
• Students shelf-reading and dusting – great work
• Students working on weeding
Davis Family:
• Definitely in the full swing of Language Schools now
• Dan worked/survived his first Friday in 8 years
• Lots of activity at the desk – printing questions
• Pulling a lot of requests
• Juggling laptop bookings, items not returned
• Always odd and unusual LS requests
• Added three new camcorders to inventory
• Helpdesk staff has been very attentive to printing issues
• Great circ students
• Language displays have been helpful
Stacks:
• Weeding has started in the L’s
• Ran out of empty shelves in the H’s for the shift – now re-shifting
• Vacuuming M’s
• Helping out at the desk
Reserves:
• Busy at Breadloaf and some LS reserves, too.

Challenges:
• BiHall 202 printer keeps jamming – Symquest called
• Challenging patrons at the desk in conjunction with screening film that couldn’t be found – resolved, with residual bitterness
• Questions about the cafe hours at night
• LS patrons have computers for which we don’t have adapters
• An alarming number of CDs in the Language displays have turned up missing
