Circulation Services – Circ, Reserves, and Stacks

Statistics:
• Number of patrons billed this week: 60
• Amount billed: $7558
• Faculty with billed items: 15
• Amount owed by faculty: $3389
• Items on reserve: 1700+
• Number of consonants in a row in the word Armstrong: 5
Highlights: (Progress towards Goals, accomplishments)
Armstrong:
• Lots of studying, activity, printing
• NExpress and ILL slowing down
• Lots of student shift swapping
• Larger group made aware of overflowing stacks at Armstrong – hopefully progress will be made soon
Davis Family:
• Cleared and re-stocked the New Books
• Library activity high until about 10 pm
• Starting to lock library classrooms at night
• Laptop power adapters are often all out
• iPads continue to be hot
• New students are fantastic
• Fall billing complete
• Training Kim A. today – she has already taken three upcoming sub shifts
• All student shifts filled
• Fall break sign-up on Sunday
• Pace slowing down a bit after crazy first weeks
Stacks:
• CD collection signage and shift complete
• Trained new student for stacks – now three students working 16 hours / week
• New project: moving all VHS tapes into the last aisle of compact shelving
Reserves:
• Slowing down, but still coming!

Challenges:
• Still waiting on some recalled items for reserve
• A few unstable ERes links
• Items not returned that are needed for bookings
• Booked carrel keys not picked up
• Reshelving reserves correctly
• Watching the screen during check-in for holds notices
• Students not entered into the system by SEO so they couldn’t get paid
• Students found by PS in the library after closing
