Circulation Services – Circ, Reserves, and Stacks
Statistics: minutes I have wasted trying to come up with an interesting statistic: at least 3
Highlights: (Progress towards Goals, accomplishments)
Armstrong:
• Busy library
• Bindery shipment prepared and shipped out
• All LIS staff meeting
• Poster session this week – heavy plotter usage
Davis Family:
• Student schedules more fluent than usual with sickness, time off, etc.
• DVD project losing momentum – more students may be hired, circ subs used
• Pulling books for BLWC
• Helping Andy with Special Collections projects
• Playing with the circ iPad – staff borrowing, working out workflow, created instruction wallpaper
• STATS week!
• Activity level increasing as end of language schools approaches
• Lots of new books coming in
• New Canon camera is back from the factory all repaired
• Heavy-duty stapler is back in service at the info desk
Stacks:
• On vacation – other staff picking up the pieces where possible
Reserves:
• Summer, BLWC, Fall reserves processing
• Planning BLWC
• Planning break-down of BLSE
CT team: Skipped meeting
Space Team: on hiatus
Challenges:
• Students wearing headphones at the desk (addressed)
• Juggling staff vacations, feeling the lack of circ subs
• Lots of overdue equipment – patrons ignore emails
