Circulation Services – Circ, Reserves, and Stacks

Statistics: percentage of circ staff who made it to work Monday: 42%
Number of thin client machines added to the Armstrong lab: 5
Number of items on reserve: 1700+
Number of shovels loaned out by circ staff: 1
Highlights: (Progress towards Goals, accomplishments)
Armstrong:
• Taking on Lab Rounds for the Helpdesk once a week (BiHall 116/17)
• ILL steady
• Lots of student shift swapping
• Once the library opened, the students were fine on Monday on their own
Music:
• More planning for the Move. Starting to pack up non-collection materials that will move over
Davis Family:
• Kellam wins the Golden Snowshoe Award for opening the library Monday morning – thanks to Mark as well for making the trek in
• Students closed on Monday, which went smoothly
• Activity calming down at the circ desk in general
• Met with federal investigator for an interview about one of our circ students who they might be hiring
• Writing performance evaluations – meetings next week
• Cleaning up the iPods, which are a sight for sore i’s.
• Kellam had two poems published in the New England Review
Stacks:
• Pulling withdrawn books and periodicals in prep for the Move
• Prioritizing reshelving of the N’s, followed by measuring that section
• Met with Joseph and Hans to discuss final steps before the movers’ first visit next week
Reserves:
• Final week of copyright course
CT team: Wrote Course Hub announcement for faculty, scheduling discussion sessions for LMS pilot participant
Space Team: Shared lower level shelving plan with LIS stakeholders

Challenges:
• Damaged digital camera returned
• A bit of snow
• ERes: like a certain asteroid, it is quite possible that some article links are “not entirely stable”
• Some issues opening Armstrong Monday (snow)
