Investor Group Services (IGS) is a boutique advisory firm that works with private equity firms, strategic acquirers and their portfolio companies across North America and overseas. We help our clients assess investment opportunities across most major sectors by providing them with the data-driven insights and analysis they need to make investments in middle market companies and industries. IGS supports clients throughout their investment life cycle from fund raising to investment realization – the work is a perfect mix between consulting and finance.
As an Associate, you will be a part of a collegial and entrepreneurial environment. Our work is fast-paced and provides opportunities for rapid skill and knowledge development. Associates gain experience across a broad set of industries while working on a case team with three to five members. This role takes on a high level of responsibility in the work and client presentations.

ModernGuild – prep for finance and consulting careers
ModernGuild (MG) is a free one-stop shop for diverse college students pursuing careers in consulting and financial services. Our mission is to build a more modern and inclusive workplace, and we work hard to support those who have historically been underrepresented within our target industries. Whether you’re a first-year student trying to understand the basics of consulting and finance or a senior weighing several job offers, we listen to your needs and deliver targeted support at critical moments in your recruitment process. Every week, students will receive matches to various learning, networking, or job opportunities based on their preferences to help them better prepare and optimize their recruiting experience.

Widewail is a Burlington-based startup focused on helping businesses effectively manage their reputation online. Widewail helps businesses both create and manage online engagement through its proprietary software and managed services.
They are looking for a sales and marketing intern from Middlebury to work in their office at Hula, Burlington’s technology-driven coworking and innovation campus on the shores of Lake Champlain.

Internship at the Generator Makerspace
Generator is a combination of artist studios, classroom, and business incubator at the intersection of art, science, and technology. They provide tools, expertise, education, and opportunity – to enable all members of our community to create, collaborate, and make their ideas a reality.
They are looking for a Middlebury student intern to work on a variety of projects from operations to educational programming to fabrication to digital media. No technical experience is required and the internship will include tool trainings on their machinery (including laser cutting, 3D printing, vinyl cutting, wood and/or metal shop tools).

Sports Innovation Lab paid summer internship
The Sports Innovation Lab evaluates and identifies the technology products and services that will power the future of sports. The Boston-based, market research and advisory firm uses data analysis to reveal compelling stories that mobilize global partnerships among startups, investment capital firms, and corporate influencers.
The Jack Langerman Internship is given to a Middlebury student who best embodies the qualities Jack brought to SIL. The program is a two month summer internship to work with our agency services team and produce industry shaping research and insights.
Analyst Intern Responsibilities: The data team is responsible for curating, building, and analyzing data in our proprietary database. Data analysts are responsible for analyzing the data, finding insights in the data, and combining extant research and data to provide clients with actionable insights. Responsibilities and deliverables include:
- Custom Insight Research – for retainer clients like the NFL, Google, Elevate, and more.
- Data synthesis and analysis – monthly insights, infographics, and reports on the Most Innovative Teams, the Power Play Index, and the Behavior Series
- Client Support – attend meetings and listen to client needs, record notes and requests, and help to organize and project manage research deliverables for client projects
Skill Requirements: Candidates should be confident in research, analysis, writing, and time management skills. Coding skills are not required, but are greatly encouraged.
