The Middlebury College Compass Team seeks a Communications Intern to begin work ASAP!
The Communications Intern will serve as a Compass ambassador, by positively contributing to the Compass vision of deepening students’ sense of belonging and contribution to thriving communities, while crafting meaningful lives filled with curiosity and authenticity. The Compass Communications Intern will share information about Compass programming and the “Insider’s Guide to Middlebury” to both students and faculty/staff mentors and campus partners. The Compass Intern will focus on the first-year experience in academic year 21-22, and will draw from their own personal experience at Middlebury College to create colorful and effective communications.
Data Analytics and AI for Solving Complex Problems: Attend this workshop

Bryan Rich ’87, Managing Director of Applied Intelligence, and Viveca Pavon-Harr, Director of the Applied Intelligence Discovery Lab, both with Accenture Federal Services (AFS) will talk with students about their work solving some of the most complex problems faced throughout the federal government in addressing public good issues. If you are interested in learning more about how state of the art data analytics and AI methods and tools are being applied to put policy into action, you will want to hear this first-hand account of what is going on at AFS. If you are applying to opportunities currently posted with AFS, you will also learn how best to prepare yourself for securing internships and full-time roles with AFS.

Global consulting internship – speak to the team and Midd alum!
diiVe is looking for ambitious Midd students who are looking to explore the world of strategy & management consulting, gain global work experience and build critical analytical skills remotely for a post-COVID era.
diiVe offers a virtual winter consulting internship facilitated by ex-BCG, McKinsey and EY consultants, that includes training, case study prep, mentorship and team-based work for a real-world client. We have several internship projects lined up for 2022, ranging from VC and Fintech, Conservation and Sustainability, to Healthtech and eCommerce.

Curious about a Career in Finance? Please join us for a conversation with the chair of the Global Financing Group and Partner at Goldman Sachs, Susie Scher ’86 P’24. We will discuss her path from a liberal arts education to Wall Street. This will be her second year in a row joining us and first time in person!

Susie is chair of the Global Financing Group within the Investment Banking Division (IBD). She serves on the Partnership Committee, IBD Executive Committee, IBD Risk Council and Americas Inclusion and Diversity Committee. Susie is a senior advisor to the IBD Council for Advancement of Racial Equity and the global sponsor of the LGBTQ+ Network.
Previously, Susie was co-head of the Global Financing Group. Before that, she was co-head of the Americas Financing Group. Earlier in her career, Susie served as head of Investment Grade Capital Markets and Risk Management in the Americas Financing Group. She first joined Goldman Sachs in 1990 as a summer associate and rejoined the firm as a vice president in 1997. Susie was named managing director in 2001 and partner in 2006.
Susie is a trustee of Little Red School House and Elisabeth Irwin High School and serves on the Board of Directors of the Posse Foundation. She was also a trustee of Middlebury College from 2006 to 2016.
Susie earned a BA in Political Science from Middlebury College and an MBA in Finance from Columbia University School of Business.
