Connect with Midd Alums at the Field Guide for Linguistics Students on February 24-25.
Middlebury alumni who studied Linguistics will be joining us virtually to discuss their career paths and how their major made an impact on their careers after Middlebury.
They can help you answer the question, “What can I do with my liberal arts major or degree?”
The Field Guide for Linguistics Students will feature a virtual alumni panel. At these events, you will have the chance to connect with alumni, faculty, and other students.

Middlebury Opportunities for Innovators
MiddChallenge: the application for Middlebury’s Innovation Hub’s annual idea/pitch competition will be launching soon, with a March 28th deadline. As a reminder, The Innovation Hub will accept project proposals in 4 categories (Art, Business, Tech, Social Impact & Sustainability) for $3000-4000 grants to be used over the summer. MiddChallenge grantees will have the option to stay local and be part of the Vermont Innovation Summer cohort program; with opportunities across the innovation ecosystem in Burlington, including at the Hula campus. Stay Tuned for more details which will be announced in the coming weeks!
TEDxMiddlebury: the TEDx conference is scheduled for April 21st at 7:30pm in Dana Auditorium. Our student Speaker Competition for those hoping to speak at the conference will be held the weekend of March 5-6th at the Innovation Hub.

CCI Internship Funding Applications Now Open!
Considering a summer internship? Great news! The Center for Careers and Internships has funding for unpaid summer internships and applications are open! This year’s grants may be used for remote, hybrid, or in-person internships.
2022 Summer Internship Grant Overview:
$3500 Summer Funding Grants support expenses related to unpaid summer internships for Sophomore Febs through Senior Febs.
$1000 First-Year Explore Grants support expenses related to unpaid summer internships for First-Years (including new Febs) and Sophomore Febs.
$3500 Dance Festival Grants support dance students attending dance trainings/intensives.
Resume approval with a Peer Career Advisor (PCA) is required by April 1 before submitting application. (Resumes approved earlier this year or last year still qualify as approved.)
Meeting with a CCI Advisor to discuss your plans is required for First-Year Explore Grants and strongly encouraged for all other applicants.

Grant application deadline: Sunday, April 10. Award notifications sent out on May 2.

CCI is offering a $500 AIRLINE GIFT CARD just for completing the résumé approval process.
There will be 7 drawings, the first 6 will be for $20 in Middlebury Money and the final (cumulative) drawing will be for the $500 airline gift card.
All you have to do to enter is complete your Handshake profile and have your résumé reviewed and approved by a CCI Peer Career Advisor (PCA) – (go/PCAs for their drop in hours to have your résumé reviewed.) The earlier you complete your profile and have an approved résumé, the more chances you will have to win!

2022 Lime Connect Fellowship Program – open to rising university juniors with disabilities in the US – Deadline date: Sunday, February 27
The Lime Connect Fellowship Program For Students with Disabilities is our flagship program in the U.S. designed for highly accomplished rising university juniors (current sophomores).
In case you’ve missed it, we have just opened up the applications for this prestigious program! For selected Fellows, the fun kicks off with our Leadership & Development Symposium in New York City* this summer with a focus on personal and professional development, community, access to our U.S. corporate partners, and potential Summer 2023 internships. Upon completion of the program, Fellows will join the lifelong experience of the broader Lime Connect Fellows community, where they will receive ongoing support and mentoring, continued professional development, community with Fellows from the previous classes, and networking opportunities throughout their careers.
2022 Lime Connect Fellowship Program Eligibility Requirements:
- A current sophomore (rising junior) at a four-year university in the United States
- Continuing studies as a full-time student for the 2022 – 2023 academic year
- Eligible to work in the United States
- A person with a (visible or invisible) disability.*
*NOTE: We currently plan on hosting Super Days and our Leadership & Development Symposium in person in New York City in 2022, following any COVID-19 guidelines that may be in place on those dates. If needed, we will adjust to a virtual format, but we remain optimistic about gathering safely in person.
The first-round of the application is due Sunday, February 27th a midnight PST
