NBC Academy Next Level Summit – Tuesday, April 5
In January of 2021, the NBC News Group relaunched NBCU Academy to help prepare young people for a career in news and media technology. It’s a commitment not only to students, but to young news professionals at various points in their careers.
On April 5th, NBCU Academy will hold a virtual “Next Level Summit.” Participants will hear from leaders, reporters, and producers from across the NBC News Group, about the journalism landscape and how to position yourself for success. NBC News leadership, including Cesar Conde, Noah Oppenheim, Rashida Jones, Patsy Loris and Mark Hoffman are scheduled to participate. Kristin Welker, Tom Llamas, José Díaz-Balart, Gadi Schwartz and Savannah Sellers are among the correspondents who will join as well. There will also be contributors from our digital platforms.

Exhibitions and Publications Coordinator Job opportunity with International Print Center New York – Deadline date: March 28
Responsibilities include:
- Maintain timelines and track deadlines and progress for upcoming projects at various stages of development (from those actively in-production to those in planning 2+ years out).
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate exhibition checklists.
- Draft, send, and collect loan paperwork and image requests.
- Prepare digital models of objects for use in developing exhibition design and layout.
- Traffic exhibition didactics including wall vinyl and object labels, from drafting to fabrication and installation.
- Traffic publication assets among writers, editors, designers, curators, and printers, handling materials including high-resolution images, essays, layouts, and proofs.
- Formalize guidelines for IPCNY house style with respect to captions and object information and ensure accuracy and adherence to these guidelines.
- Assist in scheduling installation crews.
- Proofread exhibition and publication materials.
- Assist with general curatorial administration, including trafficking proposals, contracts, and invoices; and recording project expenses.
- Schedule curatorial meetings, prepare agendas, materials, and minutes.
- Potential to assist with curatorial tasks that may include working with bibliographies, researching loans and objects, and preparing background materials on artists, as opportunities and time allow.
- Act as a friendly and knowledgeable point of contact for visitor inquiries about an exhibition’s objects on view, subject matter, and associated public programs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or associate’s degree, preferably in art history, studio art, arts administration, museum studies, or a related field
- Demonstrated interest in the arts, museums, galleries, or exhibitions
- One to two years of work experience in an art-related environment preferred
- Excellent communication skills, with a talent for connecting with a range of collaborators
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Tactical thinking and proactive problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with Google Suite, databases, project management software (Asana), Adobe Photoshop and InDesign
- Experience with Google SketchUp or AutoCAD not required, but a plus IPCNY’s staff currently works a hybrid remote and in-office schedule. In compliance with NYC orders, our employees must show proof they have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine; and will then have 45 days to show proof of their second dose (for Pfizer or Moderna vaccines).
Salary commensurate with experience and skills, range $42,000-45,000. Benefits include employer-paid health insurance, generous paid vacation, sick time, and an employer-administered, employee-paid 403(b).
