March 1 – Introduction in-class – meet via Zoom, but at 3pm we will come to Axinn doors (on Admissions side of building) to get important equipment

- Choose 2 different options for your chosen critical object (film, TV show, webseries, etc.) – if possible, have digital files available or request media to be ripped.
- Read “Has the Video Essay Arrived?” (Monaghan)
- If you do not have experience with Adobe Premiere, start working on the LinkedIn Learning tutorials to help learn the platform.
- Watch “What Makes a Video Essay Great?” by Kevin B. Lee

March 3 – Assignment #1 Workshop on Zoom.
