We are platform agnostic, although we have many more PCs than Macs. We have 62 Macs and 297 PCs available for students to use, as well as 32 Windows laptops and 12 Mac laptops that we loan out. We are also trying to make software available as broadly as possible, including in the not too distant future, via student-owned laptops. We wonder whether or not at some point students might use their laptops on campus more, allowing us to focus on attention and budget dollars on software and library resources, rather than on providing computers to supplement the computers that students already bring to campus.
