I just want to provide an overview of some of the writing specific software resources that are available to you as Middlebury students.
Middlebury is already registered for free student accounts so you just need to follow the instructions to sign up.
This is a free trial available for one time use for 18 weeks. This is a great option for installing a temporary personal license on your laptop.
Final Draft – Lab License Access Via Apporto
You can still access Final Draft on our lab computers, but you must access it via Apporto which is a virtual machine.
Log In Using your middlebury username and password.
Click on the final draft icon and you should be able to use the software the same way that you would in the lab. One very important detail is that you should backup and save regularly to your computer and should not rely on saving to the desktop on the virtual machine.
