New Equipment Policy

Starting this fall, the Film and Media Culture equipment room will implement a new tiered checkout system. For the most part, this system will not look any different to students that have taken production courses. Its main purpose is to set a precedence for any new students looking to check out equipment and to create accountability for any damaged equipment.

The biggest change is that Ethan and Matt will now teach weekly workshops for some of the more advanced equipment in the cage. These 1-hour workshops will be mandatory for all students looking to check out certain equipment (lens kits, monitors, dolly, crane, Kinos, Sound Devices 702, etc). Even if a student has used the equipment in the past they will still need to attend these workshops. Workshop schedules will be posted soon and can be found outside of the equipment room or on the Production Hub.

For more specifics on the new policy please look here or stop by Ethan or Matt’s office to chat.
