just keep swimming
As mentioned before, I run a lot. More than a rational person should. And sometimes, those long runs get lonely. So naturally, I was thrilled when one of my friends texted on Wednesday asking to join me on my run. I ran the 1.5 miles to her off campus apartment then we jogged 7 miles around some beautiful farms. We followed our run with a delicious dinner (as always) then my friend Ian showed up and suggested we go swimming.
Ian was sad that I did not mention him in my magical weekend post. I hope this makes up for it Ian.
The weather had chilled a decent amount so I was very much reluctant to get in the water. Eventually I did; we swam around for a few minutes then got out, shivering the whole drive home.
It’s easy to get complacent and follow routines, especially when I get tired after a long run, so I really appreciate having lovely friends who always push me to go on an adventure and take advantage of what Vermont has to offer.
