After 3 weeks of waiting agonizingly for trivia to return to the Marquis Theatre, I got what I’ve been wanting the entire summer. TRIVIA TRIVIA TRIVIA. I’ve been participating in trivia since high school, I was good at it, I knew what I was doing, and we had a team with fairly diverse interests. Let me tell you about the major let-down that was losing trivia in the last round by 1 point. I am unexpectedly one of the most wildly competitive people that you will ever meet. Winning is something that I very much enjoy and revel in and we were winning for seven rounds straight–this game was in the bag. There was no way that the Chum Bucket (our team was called the Krusty Krab) could win at this point. Boy were we wrong. The final media round, where they showed screencaps from various movies and had us name them, destroyed our score. You would think that one bad round couldn’t be too bad correct? WRONG it causes teams to lose their hard-earned lead by 1 point. It causes teams to lose the opportunity for free movie tickets that are awarded to first place. It causes teams to have to settle for free large popcorns awarded to second place.

Second place is first place loser. Next week it will be my time to shine.

By this point if you couldn’t already tell, I wasn’t lying about being wildly competitive.
