The Audio Edit Suite includes a single seat 10’x 10’ control room and an attached 5’x 10’ sound isolation booth. The space is designed to meet the audio finishing needs of students enrolled in advanced Film and Media Culture courses such as Senior Tutorial, Sound Aesthetics and Production, and Advanced Filmmaking.
The Audio Edit Suite features an Apple Mac Studio running Garage Band, Adobe Audition, Apple Logic Pro, Ableton Live, and Avid Pro Tools software. A large wall mounted television can be configured to display a reference video or to serve as a secondary display throughout the mixing process or during client review. The control room is equipped with a 5.1 surround sound speaker array for surround sound playback and mixing. Audio input and output is managed by a Focusrite Rednet R1 controller linked to a Red Line 16 audio interface. This allows for seamless talkback between the control room and isolation booth. An Arturia Keylab 61 mk3 serves as a universal MIDI controller for composers and producers. A Blackmagic Design 8TB Cloud Store Mini provides fast, high capacity shared storage that can be accessed locally or remotely.
