Overview:
The Sony Professional PVM-1741 OLED Picture Monitor (17”) produces high quality images at a resolution of up to 1920 x 1080 (full HD), and features an aspect ratio of 16:9 to automatically adapt to the input resolution of the incoming video signals. A viewing angle of 89/89/89/89 (U/D/L/R) ensures that you can view images clearly from any corner of the room or when the display is mounted at a height.
Incorporating Super Top Emission technology, the OLED display panel delivers excellent black performance, quick response with minimal motion blur, and a wide color gamut. The Professional OLED Picture Monitor utilizes a RGB panel driver that supports 10-bit color depth for high image quality.
With a micro-cavity structure, the OLED Picture Monitor uses an optical resonance effect in combination with color filters to enhance color purity and improve light emission. Using this combination, it is possible to minimize ambient color reflection and achieve deep color reproduction without degradation. It supports color standards such as ITU-R BT.709, EBU, and SMPTE-C.
Calibrated using a RGB LUT (look-up table) adjustment system, the integrated OLED processor provides consistent uniformity across the entire display screen. De-interlace (IP mode) circuitry converts interlaced video, such as common analog television signals or 1080i format HDTV signals, into a non-interlaced form. For IP conversion, you can select from the Inter-field (interpolates images between fields), Intra-field (interpolates images within the field), Field Merge (combines odd and even lines alternately), and Line Doubler (interpolates by repeating each line) modes.
The LED indicators on the function buttons facilitate error free operation in dark environments. You can use the rotary-type switch and 7 function-assignable buttons to quickly access various functions of the monitor. Featuring 2 3G/HD/SD-SDI, 1 HDMI input and 1 composite interfaces, the OLED Picture Monitor offers all-round connectivity. Time code display allows you to view SDI embedded time code on the screen. The monitor also supports LTC (linear time code) or VITC (vertical interval time code) types of time codes.
Integrated waveform monitor displays input waveform with a 2-channel audio level meter. By connecting a SDI interface, you can view embedded audio level with an 8-channel audio level meter. In conjunction with a Windows PC and an available calibration tool, the Auto White Balance function adjusts the red and blue signals by taking a standard white color reference to get the most natural colors.
An external remote control capability via an Ethernet connection allows input/output signal selection and adjustment of various functions of the OLED Picture Monitor. You can connect (via Ethernet) and remotely control up to 32 monitors and up to 4 control units.
A lightweight (23 lb / 10.9 kg) design allows you to use the monitor as a desktop unit with standard table feet or mount to a wall with/without a SU-561 stand (optional). With support for 100 mm VESA mounting and 19-inch standard rack (via an optional rackmount bracket), the OLED Picture Monitor can be used for applications such as such as desktop editing, office viewing, monitor wall in studio-sub, and installing in OB vans.
